What is new for the 2022 Hyundai IONIQ 5
We're excited to introduce Hyundai's next-generation electric model, the IONIQ 5. Currently, it is only available in certain states, but our home here in Arizona is one of them! It is the first all-electric Hyundai SUV and is stylized with a futuristic and unique design.
2022 Hyundai IONIQ Trim Levels
There are three different trim levels for the IONIQ 5:
- IONIQ 5 SE - The base level trim SE is a well-equipped entry-level SUV. It is equipped with Hyundai's suite of safety features, including pedestrian and cyclist detection, forward and reverse Collision Avoidance, and blind-spot avoidance. Also included are manual aerodynamic flush door handles, LED lighting both in the cabin and exterior, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, 19-inch wheels, and copious storage.
- IONIQ 5 SEL - The SEL features automatic flush door handles and a power liftgate. The SEL has leatherette seats with ambient lighting, and another feature is the upgraded Highway Driving Assist II semi-autonomous driving system. This intelligent driving system protects the driver from abrupt lane changes, slow-downs, and lane creeps.
- IONIQ 5 Limited - The IONIQ 5 Limited upgraded equipment includes 20-inch wheels, a Vision sunroof, Bose premium sound system, and an intelligent heads-up display. The center console is adjustable with a zero-gravity reclining driver's seat and the Hyundai SmartSense System, providing an expanded surround-view monitor.
Hyundai IONIQ 5 Power Options
The IONIQ 5 comes with power options, including the standard battery pack rated at 58-kWh or the optional 72.6-kWh pack. Either drive single or dual motors, and the more powerful 72.6 kWh battery with all-wheel drive attains 301 horsepower. The all-wheel-drive system produces 446 lb-ft of torque and 0-62 in 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 115 mph.
The 72.6 kWh battery pack in 2WD provides a 292-298 mile range. Both 400-V and 800-V charging is accepted by the IONIQ 5, with battery charging from 10-80 percent in 18 minutes. The V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) function provides mobile charging for other electronic devices.
2022 Hyundai IONIQ 5 Safety Features
The IONIQ 5 is equipped across all models with the latest Hyundai SmartSense driver-assist technologies. Forward-Collision, Blind-Spot Assistance, and available semi-autonomous Highway Driving Assist 2 with radar sensors, front view camera, and navigation information are included.
