Hyundai Lands Five Vehicles on the 2026 American-Made Auto Index List by Cars.com

In June of 2026, five distinct Hyundai vehicles were named to Cars.com's 2026 American-Made Auto Index, a prestigious list honoring top domestic automotive craftsmanship. This marks the second consecutive year these Hyundai models have earned a spot on the list. Drivers shopping for a Hyundai vehicle this year should certainly consider adding all five of these recognized models to their list.

Five Hyundai Models Make the American-Made Auto Index

Competition was intense for a place on this esteemed index. Cars.com evaluated more than 400 models from the 2026 release year. Surpassing that volume of competitors is a major achievement, and very few automotive brands manage to place five vehicles on this list. Hyundai, however, routinely turns ambitious goals into reality.

Cars.com selected the Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Santa Fe Hybrid, IONIQ 5, and Tucson for their American-Made Auto Index. Beyond exceptional build quality, each model features advanced driver-assist systems alongside an expansive suite of entertainment technology. Driving any of these five vehicles offers both safety and high engagement.

Randy Parker, the president and CEO of Hyundai Motor North America, took the time to say, "We are proud to have five vehicles recognized in the Cars.com American-Made index as we continue to invest in the United States and further localize our product portfolio. With $26 billion committed to U.S. investments by 2028, we remain focused on strengthening our support for the American economy while producing vehicles consumers want."

Patrick Masterson, the lead researcher for Cars.com's American-Made Index, also highlighted Hyundai's achievement: "Hyundai had another great showing on this year's American-Made Index with five vehicles, led by the brand's top-performing EV, the IONIQ 5, taking the no. 21 spot." Cars.com serves as an exceptionally reliable authority for automotive shoppers researching prospective vehicles.

The overall rankings for all five Hyundai models are notable. The IONIQ 5 secured 21st place, the Santa Cruz took 24th, the Tucson achieved 31st, the Santa Fe claimed 33rd, and the Santa Fe Hybrid rounded out the group in 81st. Earning a spot within the top 100 requires outperforming hundreds of competing vehicles to gain a position on this respected Cars.com index.
