What's New for the 2022 Hyundai Elantra?

Hyundai kicked off the Elantra's seventh generation with the 2021 model. In 2022, a brand-new Elantra N will make its debut. Able to generate 276-horsepower with its turbocharged engine, the Elantra N is perfect for drivers who are looking for a thrill at the wheel! On top of the exhilarating power, this version of the Elantra also features a sport-tuned suspension and adaptive dampers.

2022 Elantra Trims & Features

There are many options when looking at the Elantra in 2022. Alongside the exciting new Elantra N, there are two hybrid models as well. The entry-level model is known as the SE. It comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen, dual USB ports, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SEL model is home to satellite radio and dual-zone automatic climate control.

A Limited model of the 2022 Elantra will give drivers navigation, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and leather-trimmed seats. The N Line model has a sportier exterior appearance. It also has unique seats and the option of going with performance tires.

2022 Hyundai Elantra Horsepower

A 2.0L four-cylinder engine making 147-horsepower is standard for the Elantra in 2022. The engine pairs with a continuously variable transmission for smooth shifting and excellent fuel economy. The hybrid option utilizes a 1.6L engine paired with an electric motor for a combined output of 139-horsepower.

Choosing the Elantra N Line means getting a turbocharged engine capable of making 201-horsepower. It can pair with a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission. For the N, the 276-horsepower engine can pair with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. That performance-oriented model is also home to larger brakes and adaptive dampers.

Every 2022 Elantra has the features necessary to help keep drivers safe. Coming standard on all models are features such as blind-spot collision avoidance, a lane-keeping system, forward collision mitigation, and safe exit warning.
