2021 Hyundai Palisade

What's New For the 2021 Hyundai Palisade?

The all-new Hyundai Palisade made a grand entrance and impressed consumers and critics alike when it debuted in 2020. Featuring three-row seating wrapped in a gorgeous exterior, and enough refinement and comfort levels, the Palisade held its own next to top luxury models. For 2021, Hyundai is turning up the luxury dial with a new trim called the Calligraphy. There are also more options available for the Palisade this year allowing you to arrive in style without breaking the bank.

Which Features Are Available for 2021?

The 2021 Palisade comes in four trim levels including the SE, SEL, the Limited and the new premium trim - the Calligraphy. The SE trim offers standard seating for eight people, but it is available with second-row captain's chairs that lower seating capacity to seven. This trim has an abundance of amenities, including 18-inch alloy wheels and heated mirrors. LED headlights are standard on all Palisade trims for safety and style. The interior has a power-adjustable driver's seat and seats in the second row that fold flat. The eight-inch touchscreen gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality. With five USB ports, there is no shortage of options for keeping your devices charged.

Starting with the SEL, you get standard captain's chairs, which provide greater passenger comfort and versatility in the second row. The SEL also adds a sunroof and standard dual-zone climate control. Its steering wheel gets a leather finish for additional luxury. An available premium package adds a 10.25-inch display and navigation.

The Limited has a dual-panel sunroof and rain-sensing windshield wipers. In addition to the infotainment display, it also adds a digital instrument panel. Upgraded leather seats are included on the Limited trim, along with ventilated seats and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. The new trim in 2021, called Calligraphy, has all those features and quilted leather inserts for the doors, all-wheel drive, and custom wheel and grille designs.

Featuring Great Performance

All 2021 Palisade trims share the same engine. A 3.8L engine with six cylinders powers them. On all trims, the maximum power output is 291 HP and just over 260 LB-FT of torque. All trims come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. However, you have a choice of two drivetrains, including standard front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, which is available on most trims except the Calligraphy, which has standard all-wheel drive.

Technologies to Keep You Safe

The Hyundai Palisade also stands out for its safety features in 2021, earning top safety marks for its amenities. The Palisade is configured with lane-keep assist, forward collision mitigation, and rear parking sensors. The Palisade gets more safety tools on the top trims, including rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring. An auto-dimming rearview mirror is standard on the higher-end trims as well. Front parking sensors are offered through a package for all trim levels.
