Hyundai is known as one of the most generous automakers in the world. They're passionate and serious about the causes they support. Their latest large donation is to the Dixboro Historic School House, an important historical building in Superior Township. The donation was announced on May 30th.
Hyundai Donates Nearly $40,000 to Dixboro, Michigan Landmark
One-room schoolhouses were an essential part of life in early Michigan communities. The Dixboro Historic School House is still a prized possession in Superior Township. It was once a one-room schoolhouse that eventually became a local event center for cultural gatherings. In recent years, though, the Schoolhouse has needed repairs.Hyundai's Technical Center saw the need and reached out with a generous donation of nearly $40,000 to renovate the Dixboro Historic School House, and community leaders couldn't be happier about the windfall. "We are deeply grateful to Hyundai America Technical Center for its generous contribution to the revitalization of the Dixboro Historic School House," comments Emily Dabish Yahkind, a supervisor for Superior Township.
The Hyundai America Technical Center is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and often donates to local causes. Since 1986, they've handled "design, technology, and engineering" for North America and have also done a fine job of supporting community causes. Social responsibility is just as high on Hyundai's list as building safe, reliable, and affordable vehicles for America.
Dixboro is located just outside Ann Arbor and is known for its scenic landscapes and agricultural work. It's a small hamlet of Ann Arbor and is the latest area to get help from Hyundai Technical Center. It's certain that they won't be the last community to benefit from Hyundai's generosity, though, as Hyundai frequently works to give back to the communities that support it as well.
The $39,500 donation will be used to renovate the Dixboro Historic School House and make it a thriving place for community events again. Superior Charter Township is enormously grateful to Hyundai for this donation and will make the most of it this year.
