The Phoenix Zoo is once again holding its popular “Prowl & Play” event this June. Held at the Zoo’s “beach,” the event will include everything from water slides and animal encounter to live music and a Tiki bar for adults.

"The atmosphere is very different from a daytime visit," said Linda Hardwick, Director of Communications at the Phoenix Zoo. "It's a special thing to be able to play around the zoo in the evening, when a lot of the animals are behind the scenes, sleeping in their nighthouses."

Guests will be able to enjoy such events as character meet-and-greets, hula lessons and a visit with the zoo’s Moon Mermaid. There will also be beach-themed craft stations, sandpits, a “Critter Chat” and even a Bubble Stop.

“Prowl & Play” really is one of the most exciting Phoenix area events happening this summer, giving residents a place to have fun, cool off and learn something new about exotic animals.
