Hyundai Vehicle Service Warning Indicators
You'll improve your driving proficiency if you learn your dashboard light meanings. We'll help you understand ten common ones.

Airbag Fault
This light lets you know a problem exists within the system that engages your airbags and seat belts. When this warning is activated, you cannot be confident in your safety systems functioning properly. Please have this issue addressed immediately.

Low Fuel Level Warning Light
You are risking running out of gas when you see this light on your dash. Automakers program this light differently, but you should stop at a service station as soon as you see it.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
Low oil pressure negatively impacts your car's efficiency, and it can damage your engine or other parts. When this light appears, safely check your oil level. If you do not need to add any oil, this light being on means that you likely need your oil pump repaired.

Service Vehicle Soon
Between oil changes, this light will be off until you reach the mileage limit your car's maker pegs for maintenance. Set a service appointment when you see this light. You'll need an oil and filter change, and your service professional should rotate your tires and perform any other maintenance related to your odometer's current total.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
You have low air pressure in one or more tires if you see this light. Please safely find an air hose as soon as possible. Fill your tires accordingly. If your air is sufficient, this light indicates that you need your sensors replaced.

Slip Indicator
When this light rapidly flashes, your auto's traction-finding systems are engaged. If it continually glows while you have standard traction, this light indicates a malfunction in your traction components. In that event, find service soon.

Charging System Warning Light
This light often features a battery's image. The indicator communicates a problem somewhere in your charging system. Commonly, the problem is a worn-out alternator. Your car will not operate properly until this problem is repaired.

Brake System
You can safely brake when this indicator shines, but do not stretch your luck. Book professional brake service to determine where the fault within your brake system exists.

Open Door Warning Light
You have at least one open door if this light shines. Before you drive anywhere, safely secure all doors.

Coolant Level Warning
We cannot run our cars properly without sufficient engine coolant. This light warns us of a serious problem. Seek service to determine why your coolant level is low. Avoid driving your car, or you will create excessive temperatures that lead to costly engine damage.
