More Details on the Refreshed 2016 Elantra GT

The Chicago Auto Show saw a lot of debuts last month, but one of the biggest premieres was Hyundai’s newly refreshed 2016 Elantra GT. The new Elantra GT will boast a larger front end that features wide, horizontal slats with chrome accents.

As one of the most popular cars on the road today, Hyundai doesn't mess too much with the hatchback, which is why most of its interior features and main equipment is staying the same. This refresh really is all about aligning the Elantra GT with the rest of Hyundai’s new lineup.

Hyundai said in a press release, “With a more distinctive front fascia and all-new 17" alloy wheels, Elantra GT's new look further enhances the vehicle's signature sporty styling. And when mated to a standard 2.0-liter Gasoline Direct Injection engine, the formula comes together to deliver a vehicle that both looks and feels dynamic.”

A few new options are coming to the hatchback though. Drivers will have the option to add the new Technology package that features everything from a new 7-inch touchscreen and a rearview camera to Hyundai’s Blue Link telematics system and a panoramic sunroof. Under the hood, look for the GT's steering to be slightly retuned for sharper, more agile handling.
