Germany's Nürburgring racetrack is one of the most well-known and difficult courses in the world. Every racecar driver has dreams of conquering the famed track, as well as nightmares of crashing while speeding through one of its seven iconic locations. During a recent race on the legendary circuit, racer Andrew Sapino found out firsthand what it's like to wipe out on the track when his left front wheel fell off, causing his car to spin around and land directly in the face of oncoming traffic. What happened next was nothing less than an absolute miracle and it was all captured on film, so you can witness the bone-chilling incident for yourself.
In the full-length clip of Sapino's frightening accident, you can see him effortlessly taking on Nürburgring with no issues. He quickly makes his way toward Flugplatz and everything seems to be going just fine, but then suddenly at the 2:48 mark, his car loses one of its tires and does a 180, which leaves him right in danger's path. A sitting duck, Sapino can only watch as cars fly right toward him, and from anyone's perspective, it looks like he's a goner. Then, just when you think he's about to get hit head on, each car speeds right past him, including one which swerves toward the grass just in time - possibly saving his life.
